xxxxx Chantal Delassixe is the first daughter, but the 12th child, of Bernard and Eula Delassixe from the Bayou Teche area of Louisiana. She is the descendant of Acadian settlers, with a richly branched (and tangled) family tree that has ties to various French, black, and Native American families through out Louisiana, Maine, and the Eastern Canadian Maritime provinces. Locally that includes being the granddaughter of John Landace, via a youthful indiscretion, though her relationship to the family isn't well known outside the Landace brood.
xxxxxHer parents (or at least her mother) had been determined to have a girl, but her 11 older brothers ensured that she was one in name only. She grew up rough housing, scrapping, occasionally rasslin' young gators for fun and profit, and generally making her mom go grey haired whilst giving up the idea of a white lace wedding gown. She could shoot almost before she could read and write and held the Gueydan Duck Festival skeet-shooting competition title for five years running in her age division. In addition to her parents and 11 older siblings, Chantal shared the house with three cats and four dogs. She's accompanied in her journey by a coonhound named Otis.

xxxxxThis woman is one tall drink of water, standing several inches above most women, and easily eye-to-eye with many an average man. She dresses to show it off, too, short denim shorts with rolled hems showing off long, toned, tanned legs. Her top is lose and floaty, but very figure flattering. It's an off-the-shoulder peasant's blouse supported by spaghetti straps with the top of the lace-trimmed neckline grazing over her collar bones in front and her shoulder blades in back. A short, narrow placket is decorated with five pearlized buttons that nestle between her breasts. The sleeves are long and gather and puddle at the wrist. A silver charm bracelet jingle-jangles on her left wrist, often hidden in the billowy silk. On her feet she wears a pair of thick soled, but low heeled ivory-hued espadrilles that tie around her ankles and show off pedicured toenails painted with a single coat of pale coral polish that match her fingernails.
xxxxxHer hair is a rich mahogany brown that falls in soft, feathery waves around her face and to the middle of her shoulder blades. It's been professionally colored and is rich with highlights and low lights. The color compliments her deep brown eyes nicely. A long, oval face ends almost prematurely at a squared off jaw given to being set with implacable determination. The nose that bisects her face is narrow and sharp while her mouth is wide, with generously full lips that soften the intensity of her other features.

xxxxx Chantal is an Acanthus mage of the Adamantine Arrows. She spent three years studying and travelling with her Master, and then Mentor, Doigts (Gertie Beliveau), also of Louisiana. She has slowly edged out on her own and has now come to Aleswich, ME while tracing back her family line. She's visited many major cities including: Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Memphis, Chicago, NYC, and Boston. Maybe you happened to see her there? She is the current Councilor for the Adamantine Arrows as well as one of two Thunderbolt Guardians within the Order.
